Description

The “Vinnae” Ribolla Gialla is the white wine that expresses par excellence the triple territorial soul of the Jermann winery, in the historic crossroads between Friuli, Austria and Slovenia. A label that is born from the blend of the three most representative vines of this territory, where one border fades into the other, namely Ribolla Gialla, Riesling Renano and Friulano.

Jermann's “Vinnae” is the result of the vinification of Ribolla Gialla grapes and small percentages of Friulano and Riesling Renano, coming from the best vineyards owned by the company that enjoy particular exposures. Created to celebrate the Jermann family's one hundred years of dedication to the vineyard, “Vinnae” is a fresh and balanced wine, with a medium structure obtained thanks to the right mix between aging in steel and Slavonian oak barrels. Its marked savory note, supported by a remarkably dry finish, will surprise you with its extreme pleasantness in drinking and gives it a discreet resistance to aging.

Grapes used

Ribolla Gialla 90%, Friulano 5% and Riesling 5%

Winemaking and refinement technique

Alcoholic fermentation in steel vats at a constant and regulated temperature. Aging for about 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels for a part of the wine, the rest in steel.

It has a bright light straw colour.

Perfume

Fruity, mineral aroma, elegant despite its peasant frankness, with a dry, fresh and savoury flavour.

Taste

Ribolla, like Riesling, is one of the wines richest in acidity and medium-bodied, excellent. Ideal as an aperitif, with seafood appetizers, fish-based first courses, pleasant especially in summer for its great drinkability and freshness.

Food pairings

The ideal gastronomic pairing is with first courses of low aromatic intensity, with vegetables or seafood, second courses of fish with a not important spiciness with a greater synergy with the appetizer and an excellent result as an aperitif.
