Marchesi Antinori
Marchesi Antinori - Vermentino Bolgheri DOC White cl75 2023
|
Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the small and prestigious DOC of Bolgheri, on the coast of Alta Maremma, about a hundred kilometers southwest of Florence. This denomination has a relatively short history (it was founded in 1994) but boasts an international reputation as a new point of reference in the world wine scene. Tenuta Guado al Tasso extends over an area of 1,000 hectares - 320 planted with vineyards, the rest cultivated with wheat, sunflowers and olive trees - in a splendid plain surrounded by hills known as the "Bolgheri amphitheater" for its particular shape. The vineyards enjoy a mild climate due to the nearby presence of the sea: constant breezes mitigate the summer heat and the rigours of winter, clear the sky and keep the sunshine index high. The first vintage of Vermentino produced at Tenuta Guado al Tasso was 1996. |

Winemaking and Refinement | Each plot was harvested separately, depending on the level of ripeness of the grapes, in order to enhance the complex territorial characteristics of each vineyard. Upon arrival at the cellar, the grapes were destemmed, delicately crushed and softly pressed. The resulting must was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of 16 °C. The different lots were carefully and regularly evaluated and assembled. |

Tenuta Guado al Tasso's Vermentino has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose it expresses a beautiful aromatic intensity, with hints of citrus, white flowers and tropical fruit. On the palate it is savory and persistent, with a fresh and pleasantly citrusy finish. |
