Description |
Falesco “Tellus” Chardonnay is produced on the Cotarella family estate, which manages its own land on the border between the two regions of Umbria and Lazio. An area with a great winemaking tradition, dating back to the times of the ancient Romans. From the beautiful hill of Montecchio south of Orvieto, the property descends towards Montefiascone and Lake Bolsena, in the province of Viterbo. The vines are trained with spurred cordon and are harvested during the first half of September. After a short cryomaceration, they are soft pressed and fermented in steel at low temperature for about two weeks. The wine then rests in steel tanks for a few months before being put on the market.
The vinification only in steel underlines the desire to indulge the expressive immediacy of the delicate and elegant varietal notes of the grapes. A wine with an everyday and convivial face, which pairs very well with appetizers or fish dishes with a simple and not too elaborate taste.
