Dolcetto, a historic wine from the ancient Piedmontese winemaking tradition, meets refinement in steel, to enhance the fragrance and vinosity of the fruit, typical of the variety.
2022 will be remembered for being a generally early and surprising vintage. Early because the harvest ended in early October and surprising because, given the climate trend, the vine once again demonstrated an unparalleled ability to adapt. From the early winter stages, the weather conditions were unusual: a dry and mild climate continued throughout the vegetative period. The lack of significant rainfall and the increase in temperatures above the seasonal average in the months of June and July led the plant to self-regulate, containing vegetative development and reducing the size of the bunches. In this climatic context, the grapes ripened in perfect health, with smaller berry sizes than normal and a high sugar concentration. The harvest for Dolcetto d'Alba began on August 30 and ended on September 17.
