Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is one of Italy's noblest and most enduring wines, produced exclusively from 100% Sangiovese grapes in the vineyards of Montalcino, Tuscany. Fattoria dei Barbi , founded in the 18th century, is among the most historic and respected estates in the appellation, with a tradition of quality spanning over a century of production.
The 2020 vintage was characterized by an ideal climate for Sangiovese, with optimal phenolic ripeness of the grapes and harvest under perfect conditions, resulting in deep and well-structured wines.
After fermentation, maturation takes place for at least two years in wooden barrels with subsequent refinement in the bottle, allowing the wine to develop complexity and depth.
