Order Notes |
Wine available in limited quantity. Purchase limited to a few bottles per customer. |
Description | It is the simplest wine and suitable for all occasions. It is produced with Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes from all our vineyards, it ages for a year in Slavonian oak barrels. The "minor" label created by Montevertine, Pian del Ciampolo is produced from all grapes coming from a vineyard located in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the municipality of Radda in Chianti, planted in 2003, with a surface area of one and a half hectares and exposure to the west and north-west. It ferments in concrete tanks and is refined in Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 12 months. A minor label, yes, compared to the others, but it is still a little jewel created in Montevertine to be enjoyed with pleasure! The Pian del Ciampolo 2021 comes from a year that was on average warmer than the previous one, it has the usual qualities of drinkability and immediacy but underneath it hides a great richness of fruit and a surprising persistence. Without a doubt one of the best editions of this wine which this year celebrates 30 years since the first vintage produced. |
