Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is one of Italy's great red wines, produced exclusively from 100% Sangiovese grapes in the renowned hilly area of Montalcino, Tuscany. The historic Fattoria dei Barbi , established since 1790, is among the appellation's most classic and respected producers, with a long tradition of growing and making high-quality Sangiovese.
The 2021 vintage comes from vineyards located between 300 and 500 meters above sea level, with galestro and alberese soils ideal for producing structured, long-lived wines. The Brunello is aged in wooden barrels for at least two years and then in bottle for at least four months, according to the DOCG regulations, to develop complexity and depth.
