Hauner
Hauner - Salina Bianco IGT Salina 2022 cl75
Description |
Passion for winemaking and for Malvasia delle Lipari, as the latest challenge in an intense life full of interests. This is the spirit with which Carlo Hauner embarked on his adventure in the Aeolian Islands in 1963; from painter to internationally renowned designer, he began producing wine after restoring ancient terraces on the island of Salina. His small revolutions in the cellar fascinated experts, starting with Veronelli, and brought Malvasia di Hauner to the tables of prestigious restaurants, in Italy and abroad. In the 1980s, with the construction of a modern cellar, production expanded. Since 1996, his son Carlo Junior, together with his sons Andrea and Michele, has run the company. Salina Bianco di Hauner is a wine obtained from two native Sicilian vines, Catarratto and Inzolia, located on the splendid island that gives its name to the denomination. The soil is of volcanic origin, rich in pumice stone, with a subsoil rich in organic substances and mineral elements. The territory as a whole is the key element that distinguishes these unique labels, just as their place of origin is unique. |
