Louis Roederer
One of the most famous and prestigious Maisons in the world, one of the last still led by the direct descendants of the founding father, who way back in 1776 in Reims laid the foundations for what would become Louis Roederer as we know it today.
In over two hundred years of history, the Maison has been an undisputed symbol of excellence and luxury.
The winery only received its current name in 1883, when Louis Roederer himself inherited the company from his uncle.
Louis expanded his holdings by focusing on direct work in the vineyard and not limiting himself to purchasing grapes from third parties; convinced to the core that the quintessence of a great wine resided in the land, and consequently charting the destiny of the Maison that would bear his name from then on.
The estate vineyards currently extend for about 240 hectares, including exclusively Grands and Premiers Crus, for a total of 410 plots. For about twenty years, the Maison has given considerable importance to the aspects of biodynamics and respect for the territory, deepening the study of biodiversity and preserving the originality of each plot.

La Maison is recognized and unanimously associated by the world of enthusiasts and beyond by their flagship wine: the Cristal.
Wine assembled to satisfy the Russian royal house, especially for Tsars Nicholas I and Alexander II, great lovers of Champagne and eager to receive the best that the cellar could produce year after year. Wine that had to respect scrupulous requests for fear of attacks on the sovereigns: the transparent crystal bottle and the completely flat bottom. Characteristics that we still find today in the current Cristal.

Louis Roederer Champagne became the official supplier of many monarchies and noble dynasties around the world, building the fame it still maintains today thanks to the three million bottles sold every year, and thanks to the unrivalled quality/price ratio that it is able to consistently offer.
