Marchesi Antinori
Marchesi Antinori - Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino 2017 DOCG cl75
Description |
The philosophy oriented towards the large barrel, capable of preserving the extraordinary integrity of the Sangiovese fruit and giving Brunello its characteristic vibrant elegance, finds an extraordinary expression in Brunello Pian delle Vigne. |
Origin |
|
Winemaking and Refinement |
Upon arrival at the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and softly pressed and then transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place. Maceration lasted about fifteen days at a temperature of 28 °C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was transferred to oak barrels of between 30 and 80 hl where it began its maturation process in wood. After more than two years, Pian delle Vigne left the large barrel to begin its long refinement in the bottle. |
Color |
Pian delle Vigne 2017 has an intense ruby red color. |
Perfume | The nose is complex, characterized by notes of ripe red fruit and small hints of plum and date; the bouquet is completed by sensations of Mediterranean herbs with floral hints of violet and a light spicy hint of ginger and chilli chocolate. |
Taste |
On the palate the entry is soft and silky. The wine shows balance, harmony and pleasantness, with a pleasant freshness capable of giving persistence and flavor. Notes of licorice and cocoa, together with ripe red fruits, outline the aftertaste. |
