The company's symbolic label, an iconic pure Sangiovese from the Chianti area, "Flaccianello della Pieve" is a red wine with great character, among the most excellent and important produced in the hills of Central Tuscany. It comes from a selection of the company's best grapes, and rests in oak barrels for two years. It is a great wine, multifaceted and energetic, powerful and long-lived.
It is the flagship label of the Fontodi winery, produced exclusively in years in which the harvest expresses the highest levels of quality. A bottle for important occasions, it can be left to age in the bottle for years, to then be enjoyed in all its elegance. |

Winemaking and Refinement |
Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration in stainless steel tanks with punch-down and temperature control for at least 3 weeks. Malolactic fermentation in barriques. Aged in Troncais and Allier barriques for 24 months |
