Description |
The company's historic wine, produced from 1971 to 1981 as Chianti Classico Montevertine and since 1982, following its exit from the Chianti Classico Consortium, simply as Montevertine. From selected Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes, it ages for two years in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels.
A rich and sunny vintage, even though it was the victim of spring frosts that reduced productivity. A version of Montevertine that will certainly please the faithful connoisseurs of the label. The usual qualities of elegance and classicism are combined with a drinkability and a roundness of taste that are first-rate. |
