VINTAGE 2017
A complicated year, due to frost and humidity, culminating in a summer characterized by an almost tropical climate (humid and hot) which favored the achievement of full ripening.
This is the new, original blending idea from Maison Louis Roederer, created to realize the process of converting the vineyards to biodynamics undertaken 20 years ago. It is an evolutionary Brut sans année, which benefits from the effects of climate change; a tribute to the reserve wines and the best estate vineyards. Each cuvée is numbered progressively, 242 representing the number of harvests made in the history of the Maison, founded in 1776. The blending of each Collection is based on the grapes of a single vintage.

Tasting Notes
|
Balance, freshness and complexity
The dominant presence of Chardonnay is the mirror of the success of the grape in the 2017 harvest; the very ripe grapes give the blend notes of ripe and sweet fruit ennobled by fine woody notes. The mouth is mature and generous, the Pinot Noir and the Meunier of the Marne Valley emphasize the gourmet and velvety allure, making the sip large and juicy. Excellent freshness and dynamism on the finish.
