Description

This wine takes its name from the ancient city of “Satricum”.
The oldest traces of huts date back to the 9th century BC and were organised in the shape of a village with a place of worship at the centre.
This settlement, located on the hill near the river Astura, would later become the Acropolis of the city, the place where the temple of the deity Mater Matuta would be located, the remains of which are still visible today, near the current Borgo Le Ferriere (LT).

Grapes used

40% Chardonnay, 40% Sauvignon and 20% Trebbiano Giallo*
*percentages vary according to seasonal trends

Winemaking and Refinement

The grapes are harvested at an initial stage of ripeness, so as to maintain their freshness and aromas unaltered. After careful selection, the grapes are subjected to soft pressing, with the separation of the must from the skins.
The fermentation, slow but continuous, takes place at a controlled temperature and lasts for approximately 7-8 days.
After the usual racking, the new wine completes its maturation process in the tank and is bottled at the beginning of the year.

Origin

Lazio - Lazio Bianco IGT/IGP

Organoleptic examination

Straw yellow in colour, very bright; on the nose it is of notable intensity and persistence, slightly aromatic, citrusy and mineral; on the palate it is dry, elegant and with a good taste-olfactory correspondence, with good minerality, savoury, long in the finish.
