Description The name of this gin is inspired by the British Empire in the colonial era. In India, as well as in other tropical colonies where British officials were stationed, it was recommended to take a daily dose of soda and quinine to prevent malaria. It is said that the mixture was so bitter that, to make it more palatable, they added sugar and a dose of gin, thus giving birth to the primordial gin & tonic.

Empire is a London Dry Gin line, distilled by William Grant in Girvan, a historic Scottish distillery known for its very fine grain whiskies. Produced with a blend of botanicals typical of the London Dry style - such as juniper berries, lemon peel, angelica and orris roots, cumin seeds, fennel and coriander, guinea pepper and cubeb -, it is a versatile gin, which lends itself very well to making all gin-based cocktails, both classic and innovative.
Typology London Dry Gin
Recommended serving mode

Perfect for all gin-based cocktails, both classic and innovative.

Graduation 40.0% Vol.
Origin England
Tasting Notes Transparent and colorless, it smells of wisteria and linden on the nose, along with typical notes of juniper and the citrus and citric part clearly visible in the background. Even drunk neat, the flavor is balanced, spicy and floral but well-established in its roots as a gin, with a typical and very long juniper finish.
