Aperol was born in 1919 at the Padua International Fair. Created by the Barbieri brothers, Aperol is destined to become the iconic aperitif for Italians. Light, with only 11 degrees, it has an unmistakable bittersweet taste, thanks to a top secret recipe that has never changed over the years, which includes infusions of fine herbs and roots in perfect harmony. Subsequently, from the traditional Venetian spritz (white wine with soda water) thanks to Aperol a new richer and younger recipe was born which would see its peak diffusion in the years after 2000, the APEROL SPRITZ; the recipe? 1/4 Aperol, 1/66 cl Prosecco and a splash of soda water or soda. Aperol thus becomes synonymous with Spritz and happy hour aperitif, two themes that are acquiring an increasingly important role in modern society. |
