Description Great producer, among the best in the champenois. A tradition of excellence handed down and kept intact from father to son. Old plants, exaltation of Chardonnay in an area suited to Pinot Noir, wise use of wood, no malolactic and great longevity of champagnes even in the "basic" products.

The Grande Reserve 1er Cru is the entry-level Champagne sans année of the Vilmart line, also the most produced label: approximately 50% of the entire production.
Wine with the highest percentage of Pinot Noir of the entire line, therefore the Champagne most representative of the terroir.
Produced from vintage grapes (2018) vinified in barrel at 50% and completed with reserves from previous vintages.
Aged for 10 months in large oak barrels, the Grande Reserve Brut is a powerful Champagne that never loses its qualities of freshness, minerality and elegance.
Dosage at 8g/l and maturation on the yeasts for 15 months.

Disgorgement: February 2021

Excellent example of how a Champagne produced by a great vigneron can be accessible to the general public, very pleasant and complete. Its ability to mature in the bottle is impressive.
Grapes used 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir
Origin and Name France - Rilly-la-Montagne
Champagne AOC Premier Cru
Organoleptic examination
The color is golden and shows a certain maturity. The effervescence is long-lasting, giving life to a persistent and delicate foam with fine bubbles. The first impression on the nose is marked by great intensity (aroma of biscuits, ripe wheat, pear and cherry). After a few seconds, the bouquet takes on even more complexity. With oxygenation this wine presents tertiary aromas, such as melted butter and toasted bread, reflecting a harmonious evolution of the wine. There is a good balance between the primary aromas (fruity), secondary (bread, butter and biscuits) and tertiary (mineral and spicy). It is lively in the mouth. Good acidity and effervescence followed by an intense freshness. The balance is due to the delicacy of the wine. The finish is long and mineral.
