Marchesi Antinori
Marchesi Antinori - Scalabrone Bolgheri DOC Rosé cl75 2023
|
Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the small and prestigious DOC of Bolgheri, on the coast of Alta Maremma, about a hundred kilometers southwest of Florence. This denomination has a relatively short history (it was founded in 1994) but boasts an international reputation as a new point of reference in the world wine scene. Tenuta Guado al Tasso extends over an area of 1,000 hectares - 320 planted with vineyards, the rest cultivated with wheat, sunflowers and olive trees - in a splendid plain surrounded by hills known as the "Bolgheri amphitheater" for its particular shape. The vineyards enjoy a mild climate due to the nearby presence of the sea: constant breezes mitigate the summer heat and the rigours of winter, clear the sky and keep the sunshine index high. The first vintage of Vermentino produced at Tenuta Guado al Tasso was 1996. |

Winemaking and Refinement | Each variety was harvested and vinified separately. The grapes were destemmed, delicately crushed and transferred to the press where they underwent a brief maceration of about 2-4 hours at a low temperature to enhance the richness of the aromatic precursors. After pressing, the must reached the stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 16 °C. The different lots were carefully and regularly evaluated and assembled. |

Scalabrone 2023 presents itself with a slightly pale peony pink color. On the nose it shows intense notes of red berries, among which ripe cherry and pomegranate stand out, accompanied by sensations of candied citrus. On the palate it is pleasantly fruity, delicate and characterized by excellent freshness and persistence. |
