Two hundred hectares in the Friuli Grave DOC area were the starting point for the brothers Luigi, Ercole and Fernando Pighin in the early 1960s.
In 1966, 30 hectares were added to the initial vineyards in the renowned Collio DOC area.
It was Fernando Pighin, together with his wife Danila and his children, who in 2004 fully acquired the ownership of the estates, which are now run with great passion and enthusiasm, and respect for the values of the land. 
The company policy has always been based on some key principles: the valorization of the territory, safeguarding the quality of the wine, incessantly pursuing investments for innovation and modernization in the vineyard and in the cellar.
