Pighin

"Pioneers
of Friulian wine
in the world."

Two hundred hectares in the Friuli Grave DOC area were the starting point for the brothers Luigi, Ercole and Fernando Pighin in the early 1960s.
In 1966, 30 hectares were added to the initial vineyards in the renowned Collio DOC area.
It was Fernando Pighin, together with his wife Danila and his children, who in 2004 fully acquired the ownership of the estates, which are now run with great passion and enthusiasm, and respect for the values of the land.

The company policy has always been based on some key principles: the valorization of the territory, safeguarding the quality of the wine, incessantly pursuing investments for innovation and modernization in the vineyard and in the cellar.

A mind-boggling production reaching an average of around one million bottles per year divided between native Friulian and international wines, numbers that are even more impressive considering that the company is entirely family-run!
For some years now, an experiment has also been started with the planting of vines that are naturally resistant to disease, in order to produce wines bearing the organic designation.
